AISI 316L: marine grade stainless steel
AISI 316L is a stainless austenitic steel alloy, considered among the most durable on the market today. In addition to carbon, AISI 316L (not to be confused with the much more common and much less valuable AISI 304) contains nickel, chromium, titanium, niobium and tantalum, which are responsible for its noteworthy technical properties. Some of this steel's primary features are:
- Resistance to corrosion
- Ease of cleaning
- Highly hygienic
Thanks to its reliability, austenitic stainless steel is characterized as having one of the highest costs on the market. It is easily recognizable thanks to its paramagnetic qualities; a simple calibrated magnet allows you to verify its quality and the presence of any adulteration.
